In what respect? Mariani was about to get his chance before getting hurt and he was looking decent, plus he contributes on special teams. Every once and a while, Williams makes a decent play. He's lost the rest of the time. He's had chance after chance. If he doesn't look like he can contribute beyond his usual 200-500 yard season, I say he's gone. Three seasons and two with no touchdowns. He has to be on the bubble at this point. I know Williams is supposed to have the upside, but if he's not growing into his potential, you have to let go eventually and make room for someone else, preferably not another Williams.

I would think we would keep Washington over Mariani. Reynaud can return kicks.

    C'mon and give credit.

How many WRs and TEs combined had over 1000 yards last year? I looked it up for you, 20.

I'd say 2011 was more than a "decent" season, wouldn't you? That also means his best season is a #1 WR on ANY team, right?

That's pretty consistent numbers for a quality contributor.

    Basically, your post SUCKS.

Britt, Washington, wright, hunter I would think are locks. Williams, Mariani, walter, preston, and the rest are fighting for one or maybe 2 spots at best. I just do not see walter making the team

If he's healthy, I think Walter makes the team. I'd still like to see them keep six though, and that will probably end up coming down to Preston or Williams.

I really hope we do keep six, however, I would keep the following six: Britt, Nate, Wright, Hunter, D-Will, and then the better of Preston/Walter…. Sorry Marc.

I like the upside of Preston more and I feel if we try to hide him on the practice squad, someone else will pick him up. As for Walter I like him b/c vet receivers are much more reliable for younger QBs. They tend to lean on them b/c they are usually in the right spot in comparison to younger guys who are more prone to mental errors.

If we end up cutting Nate b/c of his cap then we’d have to keep Walter. If we keep Nate, then I don’t see why we don’t give Micheal a chance.

But like I said, in both these cases, I don’t have place for Marc, even though I do like the kid as a returner more than Rey Rey. I find Marc more reliable and Rey has a bad history with the G-Men of which I worry could come back and haunt both him and us.

Yea I also like the Preston kid. There's also another rookie named Ross i believe that could find a place because of return ability.

Okay so he's saying how consistent is Nate Washington and is he really the best WR we have? Well he's really consistent at getting 45 catches a year and yes he did have a good season in 2011 but yeah that's about it.

Also, really hope you're exaggerating the whole,"That also means his best season is a #1 WR on ANY team, right?". I mean seriously? Nate Washington is a good WR but I really don't understand some of the hype this guy gets around here. I mean I guess when your should be star WR is always injured or in trouble with the law we have to turn to someone but like you also said he's a quality contributor, nothing more. I will be happy to have him as a #2 or #3 WR but if we or any other team expects him to put up #1 numbers then that team is in trouble.

Pulling for Preston, not sure what else Williams can give us.
