One thing that is undeniable is we have gone out this offseason and picked up all the pieces that were needed to help us get into position to start competing again after the sour way the last few seasons have gone.It is beyond time for us to develop a winner and start being dominant again. It was painful to watch the Houston Texans take the AFC South the last couple seasons with relative ease.Make no mistake we will be on our way to winning again here soon because we have brought in some better players and coaches such as Gregg Williams and Sylvester Croom both of these coaches were brought in to help identify weaknesses and make the defense and offense better. With hard hitting guys like Bernard Pollard taking charge on defense along with Gregg Williams bringing in a new strategy along with bigger players like Sammie Lee Hill to clog the line and stop the run we already know the defense will be better.

Bringing in Andy Levitre in free agency and drafting Chance Warmack and Brian Schwenke the team is making the line solid and strong to give Jake Locker great protection and added confidence knowing he won't have to run for cover like he did last season.Add having a new tight end Delanie Walker and second round draft choice Justin Hunter and of course with all these changes we are much better on offense not to mention Locker has extra weapons. In fact the WR depth is the best its ever been since the team arrived here in Tennessee and it is looking like it will be all these players Washington,Britt,Wright,Hunter,Williams and maybe Walter.Overall if the team can get by without too many injuries we will be alright but if someone in a critical spot gets hurt it could affect that particular side of the ball.

Now the only thing that i'm worried about at this point are the injuries and players we are not getting to see get out on the practice field. We spent a kings ransom to lure Andy Levitre here and it is looking like he is having knee issues but i'm just hoping he is able to get out on that field be a hundred percent by the time the season starts. The same thing goes for David Stewart and after all these two players are very important for the offensive line.Without these guys it won't be the same regardless of depth. Then you have Justin Hunter who i am already wondering about as far as durability goes.I just don't want to see him on the injury list every time he breaks a fingernail.I'm not sure but i thought i saw Delanie Walker on the list as well and he is another player we brought in to make the offense better. What is scary is it seems like are being hit with these issues mainly on the offensive side of the ball.

Every team in the league knows It does take a bit of luck to get through each offseason and even the season itself without suffering any setbacks in regards to injury.Everyone is banking on us having a really good line this season which should help in many ways. After all most games are won or lost in the trenches.First it gives Jake Locker the protection he needs and was missing most of last year when we had a very banged up line.Second it helps in short yardage situations where Shonn Greene is needed. It also helps to give the backs room to run and make plays and C.J. will be the main beneficiary in that regard. With a great line C.J. could have one of his best years because he is always dangerous if he is given enough daylight to run and make plays.Last year alone he ran over 80 yards on three seperate occasions somethng no one has ever done in a single season in fact three times in a career was the record and C.J. shattered that. Also hoping our receivers are doing good because both Delanie Walker and Justin Hunter are expected to be a big part of the offense. Finally i think we are all hoping Locker is healed and ready to be a force this seasons.Standing up and providing leadership is something that will go a long way.

Any thoughts in regards to the injury situation going on right now.I do think we need to exercise caution in dealing with Justin Hunter because we don't want to put him out there too soon in practices because we don't want what he is dealing with now turning into something much worse. The main one i'm concerned with is Andy Levitre after all he is very important to the offensive line and we definitely need him.
