We're far away from a dream team... don't get ahead of yourself.

    Eagles picked up:
Cullen Jenkins (coming off starting SB lineup)
Nnamdi Asomugha (thought to be the best CB at the time)
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (trade) (was a pro bowler year before)
    Evan Mathis (top-FA guard)
Jason Babin (coming off 12.5 sack season)

We picked up Levitre (starter, a top G), Pollard (starter, leader, aging), Wilson (just aging), Hill (plugs the holes), Greene (expensive back up) , Walter (idc) , Walker (starter) , and whatever else bench players like Fokou. Just because we spent some money doesn't mean we're a dream team, we're just not used to actually being active in FA.

Naw I'm just using them as the latest team to go the Fa route. Yea we didn't go as big name as they did, however, regardless of name and stature of "dream" team, the idea of building the core team thru Fa normally devolved quickly because it normally doesn't work. We did a lot of Fa driving this year. However, given the previous statistics on how teams like that produce, it's unlikely we see the giant push we would expect.

For whatever reason, teams that do it, don't really win that much. It's just the truth.

Also, the Eagles were supposed to be Super Bowl contenders with all those additions. We won't have nearly that type of pressure and expectations. (though our staff is playing for their jobs)

I'm not saying we built a dream team. Just the idea of building thru FA normally doesn't work.

It does if you're shopping for role players.

The issue Philly had was the culture changed. They went from taking what was theirs to expecting things to happen without putting in work. After wining for so long guys get complacent and dont put out 100%. Several of their coaches have said it was an odd environment that wasn't conducive with winning.

With Tennessee, we have a losing team, but we're a hungry/desperate team. Not a sole on Earth expects anything will be given to the Tennessee Titans, everyone paying attention knows we're going to have to kick and claw our way to victory if we're going to be happy come seasons end. It wasn't like that in Philly the last 2 years. They just naturally assumed ok we have him him and him, we're good.

All true, and solid points. Hopefully the vibe is conducive with winning. I'm just playing devils advocate and quelling the hyper hopes

We still have 2 of the worst coaches, so we're more of a nightmare team than a dream team.
