    A pretty good article:

    8. Tennessee Titans: A 9-7 start to the Mike Munchak era had the Titans headed in the right direction, but everything since has amounted to repeated steps in the wrong direction. The team failed to land free agent quarterback Peyton Manning during the 2012 offseason and then proceeded to go 6-10 with first-round selection Jake Locker, ranking 26th in the league in total offense and 27th in total defense. Munchak escaped the firing squad and has been retained for another season, but he’s on thin ice and owner Bud Adams is nearby wielding a sledgehammer. This season will tell us whether it was 2011 or 2012 that was the anomaly.
What must be accomplished: An 8-8 record for sure, and even that may not be good enough.

And the Texans are number 3

    3. Houston Texans: Had the Texans not hired former Dallas Cowboys head coach Wade Phillips to run their defense prior to the 2011 season, there’s no doubt that Houston boss Gary Kubiak would have been sent packing. That’s how much Phillips and this new-look defense have meant to the franchise. Back-to-back trips to the postseason have been nice and a franchise-record 12 wins in 2012 was even nicer. But beating up on Cincinnati at home and then getting railed by the big boys the following week in each of the last two postseasons has run its course. Once again, time is running out on Kubiak.

Munch can survive an 8-8 season if we aren't blown out in any game and win the ones we are supposed to.

    Playoffs or bust.

    Last year was devastating.

Munch better pray for a 9-10 win wildcard berth.

8-8 is garbage with this roster.

If Jake turns out to be a competent QB and this team doesn't make the playoffs the entire coaching staff should be canned.

I want to like Munch, I really do but if we are not in the playoffs this year he has got to go.

It started out playoffs or bust. Now we're moving towards 8-8, and we can deal. I've seen 8-8, it isn't anything special.

I am more waiting for 2014. This year we do need to see some progress but being realistic with my expectations now.

    Seriously? 2014?

    Playoffs or GTFO

Make a wildcard and lose a competitive game, I don't care. Then you build on that for 2014.

I'm tired of being punked by the Colts and Texans and being an afterthought in general around the NFL.

If Locker can't get it done and we end up with another top 10 pick then I want another QB next season.

New coach and new QB in 2014 if this team doesn't make the playoffs and Locker continues to play like Locker.

God Nashville is starting to sound like Knoxville.

"Well as long as they are competitive", "At least they tried", "We are 3 to 4 years away but it will happen"

I think you misunderstand. I want conference finals in 2014. At least. If we hit the playoffs and get our asses kicked by San Diego in the first round again it will not be that great.

We will know by Week 10 if we need to start analyzing this next QB class and looking around the league for a new coach.

    Personally I can't wait.

I'm reallllly hoping for a playoff birth, anything less and Ill personally be disappointed.

I tend to think Munchak could survive on a 8-8 year, ONLY if we're not getting embarrassed the way we did in 2012.
