My opinion to everyone is buy whatever you want to buy for whatever reason you want to buy it, cause it's your money. Do with it what you will.

As far as purely gaming, PS4 should be slightly faster and slightly graphically superior to the XBox One. If that isn't a factor for people that's cool.

I'm in the camp that I would buy a gaming console to play with friends, don't really need all the other stuff cause I can do all of that on my CPU.

Alex I'm pretty sure after a point the amount of RAM you have, it ceases to increase performance. Like after 8GB it doesn't matter if you have 50GB. Just saying.

32GB is way in excess right now, but 16 is still useful vs 8.

But I buy computers to hopefully have them for 6-7 years. Had my last one that long. This one actually had a hard drive die and I just replaced it. But with my memory and graphics I'm hoping to still be typing on GoTitans on this same computer in 2019.

The thing that amazing me the most about this cpu is that I can play Skyrim or Guild Wars2 and alt-tab to Firefox and browse through webpages looking for info then alt-tab back to the game without any major interruption. And play either of those games with pandora's app running without issue.

All while having porn play in a window in the corner of the screen.

    "Gamer elitist nerds"?

No... It's simple... People buy consoles to play games. You think the guy who just uses his Xbox for Call of Duty is less common than the guy who uses it for Internet, Netflix, NFL network and all that?

    That's just backwards, obviously.

If you really think the people who have their gaming console to play games is a minority you are out of your mind

I've been trying to read up on it but ESRAM is new to me. I guess it is a type of SRAM which is superior to DRAM. From what little I've read the DDR3+SRAM is simply cheaper than DDR5 which would seem to be why Microsoft went in that direction. While holding things in static RAM can be better than refreshing via DRAM.

I'll try to read up and find more about it. It's hard for me to believe the SRAM will make up for the difference between DDRAM5 and DDRAM3 which is actually fairly significant.

Hey, as long as the side effects aren't bad, I won't be dreading older age. I know I'll end up with ED... that's my kind of luck. And I'll probably have it before all my friends. Luckily I don't seem to age whatsoever, so I'll probably look like I'm 35 when I'm 50 - or I'll just age all at once like ****ing Fred Durst and have ED, which in that case, FML.

Personally, an erection lasting longer than four hours sounds pretty awesome to me anyways.
