    PS4 is using GDDR5 memory, while Xbox One is using DDR3. The higher the number on the far right, the faster the memory. (The number is usually a multiplier, so the PS4 will have 5x data rate, where as the Xbox will only have 3x data rate). In terms of speed, the PS4 has faster RAM and GPU. Other than that, they are mostly even.

    Microsoft is going in the direction of "Home Entertainment System Box", kind of like a really, really powerful Roku or Apple TV, where as Sony is going in the direction of a powerful gaming system.

    Gddr5 is much better for gaming than ddr3. Ddr3 is the basic memory model used in pcs right now. So as far as ram, the ps4 will in theory top out much faster than the xb1.

    The two CPU processors... Both "custom jobs" ... Hard to tell what's gonna pull ahead there.

    To me those are the big points regarding the actual tech specs.

    I just read used games cease to exist now."Activation codes" for each disc and then after that is the full price "fee". No backwards compatibility..

    **** that..

    Their "new IPs" better be ******* amazing otherwise, I don't know. All my **** is on xbox Live.. sigh.

    Lol well Xbox 720 woulda been ridiculous. Imagine the one after that? The Xbox 1080? P? I? This is like a reboot name so the next one doesn't have to follow some absurd numerical system. The Xbox One and Xbox Two... I kinda see why they did that IMO.
