So me and my big mouth.

My bosses boss is in this week. He is a Jags fan. Also UF alum and a major Tebow fan. I told him Jags would probably end up with the top pick in the draft and was getting on him. He said he figured they would have a 100% improvement on wins over last year. I told him it was more likely that the Titans would have a 100% improvement. And I let it turn into a bet.

You're going to lose that bet.

Jags getting to 4 wins is far and away easier than us reaching 12 wins.

I wouldn't say 12 wins is out of reach, but the Jags is about as sure of a bet as you are going to get.

Jags 4 wins is lock. Titans 12 wins is a miracle. In order to get 12 wins, we have to get a win against either 49ers, Seahawks, or Broncos OR sweep the Colts and Texans. Did you happen to think about that before betting 12 wins? 10 wins would have been WAY better.

Unless Manning, Kap, and/or Wilson are hurt when we play them. I see zero chance we win any of those three unless our team gets some really lucky breaks. And the Texans are just too good to say a team like ours can sweep them. We might have a chance at the Colts. But I honestly can see us splitting with both of them. Which is why a 10 win season is truly the best I could possibly see us doing at this stage.

My thoughts exactly... and that's a big part of why I say 10-6 is the best we could possibly do this season. We have 7 games against playoff teams (just like last season). And guess how many of those 7 games we won... ZERO. Munchak's record against playoff teams is 3-12 (one of those wins came against Kyle Orton's Broncos and another came against the Texans' backups). In other words, Munchak is awful.

Now, I'm not saying we won't beat a playoff team this season, but this certainly doesn't bode well for us. 12-4 truly would be a miracle, and we would have to be considered Super Bowl contenders if that somehow happened - which goes to show how unrealistic of an expectation this is.

I make much smarter bets lol... last year I bet a guy that the Rams would be under .500 - won that one (slightly). This year, I'm making a bet that the Titans will be .500 or better. Reasonable bets.

Again, OP, you're f*cked. If you can somehow get out of that bet or come up with another idea, I'd do it fast.
