you could say that about almost every team ... who cares about a 3rd rb?

Naw the saints are prolly the most stacked RB team in the past decade. They have figured out how to make that work. And it's all built around the RB in the back. Bree's check down, running option, pass protection. They have system guys.

I bet the Giants were glad to have Andre Brown when their 2nd RB David Wilson totally sucked.

Ask the Saints how much they like their 3rd and even 4th guy at the position.

And you better believe the Steelers were thanking the football Gods for Johnathan Dwyer when their top 2 backs were out with injuries.

I'd say half the teams out there care about who their 3rd guy is. As a RB the 3rd guy can very quickly become the go-to guy.

Yeah I mean of course a 3rd rb would be a luxury but with an improved o-line Jalan Parmele could be a decent play if need be. Crossing fingers, CJ hasn't really been that injury prone and the 2nd string RB Greene is getting a ton of money so baring injuries the 3rd RB will not even see the field.

Plus Dwyer was a 6th RD pick and Ivory wasn't even drafted so its not like these teams really knew what they had when their starters went down, plus the Saints run a much better offense than the Titans can even imagine so its not like Ivory would be a bet to thrive in this system anyways.

I see the point of having a solid 3rd backup but A) we may have one in Parmele I guess will have to wait and see and B) It's not the end of the world if you dont have a top 3rd back.

Hopefully CJ and Greene play 16 though so we dont have to worry about it.

Mark Ingram makes no sense in their system.

Was supposed to be the heavy back like he was in Alabama... But fail. I agree.

Lets just pray Parmele never see's the light of day.

What would have had to happen for Parmele to get play-time? I don't even want to imagine.

You think Mark Ingram is a bad RB?

I think he is an over hyped back. You can't tell me the first rounder spent on him was worth it. Nor for what he's produced. Could be o line, I don't keep up with them saints to much. But I do remember seeing a stat that showed he wasn't as bad as he seems.

I actually do think he was worth a 1st pick, just not by the Saints, but I can't blame them for going BPA when they drafted him.

My thing with RB's is, it's the easiest position to come in and contribute early at, so IMO you have to be a bad team to be drafting a RB early. And Mark Ingram is they type of player IMO who can carry an offense, but in New Orleans everything goes through Drew Brees making Mark Ingram a bad pick for the Saints.
