Thought I heard he was close to signing with the Pats (?). Hard to believe he's entering his 14th season in the league, but I still think he's the best DE out there right now. Would certainly love to have him.

The Titans showed no interest in former Falcons defensive end John Abraham prior to the NFL Draft.

Now, he’s coming to Nashville for a free agency visit.

Abraham is scheduled to visit Baptist Sports Park today and Friday, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The 13-year pro played the last seven seasons with the Falcons and prior to that played six seasons with the New York Jets. Abraham has 122 sacks in his NFL career, including 10 in 2012. Abraham has been a free agent since the Falcons cut him on March 1.

The addition of Abraham would give the Titans a boost in the pass-rushing department. The Titans entertained Abraham on a free agency visit last offseason, but he ended up re-signing with the Falcons. Earlier this week the Titans hosted former Bears defensive end Israel Idonije on a free agency visit.

The Titans signed former Chiefs defensive end Ropati Pitoitua earlier this offseason, and drafted former LSU defensive end Lavar Edwards in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. Still feeling like they have a need, the Titans circled back around to Abraham.

Lord please, sign this guy. I wanted him over Osi and any other DE. He can do exactly what we need. Hopefully our sick free agency and great draft will be enough of a selling point. The Pats can sell a winning team all day but they're cheap as all hell.

I'd rather have Idoniji but if we like Abraham more I'd be okay.

With the money we got from cutting Hawk and eventually Amano, we could sign him.

If/When we get serious about signing a FA DE, thats when I believe we will cut Amano.

We're a good DE away from having a good D-line.

IDK, Abraham had a better season last year (10 sacks and 6 FF) at age 34 than Idoniji has ever had in his entire career. I'd gladly take either of them at this point, but if I had my pick it ain't even close.
