Fitz was about as inconsistent as any QB in the league the last two seasons. They had already decided to go with Tarvaris Jackson or a rookie before his bonus came due. Fitz was willing to restructure but HE WAS NOT WANTED on a team which had back-to-back 6-10 seasons.

Repeat: Tarvaris Jackson or a ROOKIE.

Fitz is a pick machine with zero upside. I saw him choke twice against two horrible Titans defenses.

Fitz had ratings of 80 the last 3 seasons and yards of 3000,3400,3800.

    He's not that bad.

And if you think he is awful, then we shouldn't have signed him and definitely should've tried Barkley or Nassib at the end of the 3rd round.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the UDFA RB from Nevada surpass tippy toe on the roster.

Other than that I'm scared as hell as to what Locker will do. I want him so badly to succeed but he does scare me. He isn't a drop back passer yet he needs to be bootlegged and rolled out often because that is what he excels at until he becomes a better pure passer similar to McNair. His durability is another cause for concern. I hope Loggains can scheme to talent rather than make a square fit a circle like Palmer.

I'm pretty comfortable with all other aspect of the offense we have the pieces in place to be dangerous. Unfortunately the biggest piece of all is still in question. We better be selling the house to get Teddy if Jake fails.

Believe it or not, I'm all in on giving Locker every opportunity to either prove he's worthy or not. Why would they take Locker in the first round and now sit him for a QB who couldn't keep his job in Buffalo?

This is Locker's team for, at least, one more season.

It makes zero sense for Fitz to start over Locker, it's not like he's going to beat him out anyway but they were simply looking for a solid back up to replace Hass. You really think Rusty Smith was going to be the #2 guy?

If Locker plays like total garbage and Fitz looks competent in the preseason, then Locker looks terrible to start the first 4 games of the season, you really think Munch would ride with Locker all season?

I think Munch would rather try to keep his job.

I don't believe Fitz gives the Titans any more chance to win than he did Buffalo. The only chance Munch has to keep his job is for Locker to play well. If Munch uses anything he sees in the preseason to impact his decision to start Locker, he deserves to be fired immediately.

Locker will start until the bye week regardless of how bad he plays, IMO.

LOL like it's hilarious that you think Locker is better than Fitz...More upside, MAYBE. Better, definitely not. Locker is about as bad as Tavrais Jackson FYI, honestly, I think Tavaris has produced more.
