Other than Tommie Campbell we definitely lack speed on defense. That probably had something to do with the Brown pick.

I'd say getting shredded by TE's over the middle for the last few years may as well.

How it was? Casey pretty much dominated the middle of the LOS at a level we haven't seen since AH left. Those OGs couldn't handle him one on one and he was doubled a number of times. Not sure which game you were watching.

Ha! Those linemen are the leagues best, they man handled him for a while before the back-ups came in.

And even if I'm wrong about him being blocked into the play, and he did make that stop, what else did he do that game vs starters?

CJBRAVE, i think you are just way too stubborn to let it go and understand that casey did a pretty good job. Or lets just say that you are probably the only one in this forum who thinks he got owned!

I don't think we lack that much speed, we have campbell and mccourty (he can run with most of them), verner is not fast but he's quick and has great anticipation which makes up for it, same can be said for mccarthy. Zach and Ayers are both pretty fast, witherspoon is not exactly slow although he can get burned from time to time.. Morgan and Wimbley both have good speed for d lineman. Our DT's are quick and move quickly to the ball/backfield..

I mean we are not one of the fastest units in the nfl but i think we are going to be effective, most of our guys have good closing speed and that in my opinion is the reason why we are causing more turnovers lately.

Got his defense off the field with a great spin move and pass rush, but that's already been covered.
