    To be honest Mett isn't that bad, he's not good, but not awful.

    This team is just THAT bad. He a QB that needs a really good O-Line to keep him clean, then he can do damage. With this line, he's about the worst QB in the league.

    Makes you realize how good MM8 is

    Or how good Tanney is...with only a week's notice and never having played in an NFL game...while Mettenberger had been on the roster for 2yrs and playing in 10 games.

    Tanney proved on Sunday that all the excuses for Mettenberger....like those you made...are bogus. Even when he gets ample time to throw, he's slow to make a decision, has too long of a windup, makes bad decisions, is totally immobile, and is inaccurate. He's abysmal.

    Tanney really isnt that good, he just had the advantage of no one having film on him.

    But he does look good enough to allow back to compete for the backup job

    Compared to Mett....he looks like a legit NFL QB. He is just more accurate, and made quicker decisions. That alone was enough to make a night and day difference.
