Would be happy with either Perry or Ingram. Hopefully one of them will be there at 20. Not sure who to go with if both are there, but I doubt they both will be.
Why are people still considering Ingram a DE? He's a midget. No way does he fit in with this system. Rush linebacker all the way.
Ingram will bust. He's very quick and very talented, but these huge tackles in the league will make him useless.
I think it really is pretty tough. Ingram has the pedigree of the playing in the SEC against top athletes but not very good passing teams. Perry was extremely explosive and has a very impressive stout lower body. At this point, because of Ingram being shorter and having shorter arms, I'd go with Perry. He has shown that he can put some weight on and not lose quickness or explosion and is a 4-3 guy. Then get Janoris Jenkins/Jaron Hosley in the 2nd and then Mike Martin in the 3rd. That's my draft!
That's a really tough call, good question. The best DE to me would be the best pass rusher, I don't give a crap about how well he plays the run. In the NFL today getting to the passer is paramount stopping the run is secondary. On pure athleticism I'd go with 1. Perry, 2. Mercilus 3. Ingram. I can tell you who I don't want for sure they are: Coples and Brockers. They are just not going to be dominant pass rushers ever.
