A guy like that is worth his weight in gold to a team more than a 1000 yard RB or WR. Where a RB gets his catches easy on dumpoffs and screens the TE has to take a hit off the line, negotiate through traffic and almost all the TEs catches are over the middle where he is going to take a hit every time.

Having Alge on the field will open up a wide array of options for VY.

It'll be 86. And he's a 3rd year QB. With our WRs, it's a great job. What the hell do you want? A 110 passer rating?

Vince has done a pretty decent job in his first 2 years with limited talent to throw to, not to mention constant pressure from the defense. Its comments like yours that remind me how annoying and ignorant fans can be.

    Every little bit helps

Guys, don't forget that VY has only completed two seasons in the NFL. It takes four to really develop your potential as a quarterback. Tony Romo sat on the bench for four years before he was ready. VY has had to be on the firing line rather than having the luxury, as Romo, Phillip Rivers, Garrard and others had of developing from the sideline. What VY has done is amazing when you consider that he hasn't ever had a receiver that would be a #1 receiver on any other NFL team. He is only entering his third year. I think that next year his class, which includes Leinart and Cutler, will emerge as a group of elite quarterbacks with VY leading the pack and setting the standard, just as Vince Young has done at every level of football prior to the NFL.
    1 people high five this.

you're implying it will be impossible to win if his qb rating is 86. If I remember correctly the Giants won the super bowl last year. Eli's qb rating was 74 while vinces was 71. I guess you're right, it will probably be impossible to win unless he has 110 passer rating. If you're waiting for him to put up brady and manning numbers I will ruin the surprise and tell you he'll never come close.
