Young Going to Pro Bowl

Maybe it's just some kind of daddy ****. You know what I mean? Maybe it's easier for him to pass on it because he knows Vince will go instead. He'd "give a prowbowl" away to someone he cares about. Steve cares about Vince and we all know what kind of guy Steve is (hey, multi-yearmulti-million years contracts are multi-yearmulti-million years contracts) so it's a good rationalization for him to bow out because maybe he even feels Vince deserves it and he can live vicariously through him watching him on tv back on the farm with a whisky sour in his hand. Steve likely hates long flights anyways. Ironically he can give Vince some advice on how to book a flight.

my point was guys "give away" pro bowls all the time. that's how mcnair got there last year.

I think the same applies to Young..he really didn't deserve it but 99.9999% of Titan fans are happy he did. yes I am the .0001% :ha:

If Young played on another team do you think he deserves it based on his stats?

 

Young's stats weren't tops in the league, but he played at a higher level than anyone expected him to. So I can see how you could argue that he deserves to go.

As for Mac giving up the spot.........Just because he doesn't want to go all the way to Hawaii to play in a pick-up game doesn't mean he's out of shape or embarassed. Maybe he just wants to spend time with his family at his home. And I can see how McNair would see that Vince is next in line and say, "Well I'll just let him go. I don't care much about it and he really would like to go." So I think it was a nice move on Steve's part. Even the players know that there isn't a whole lot of substance to the Pro Bowl any more.

 

If Micheal Vick can make the Pro Bowl anyone can.

 

Lets see. VY's first drive 1 rush for 13 yrds, 1/2 passing for about 12 yds, and takes the AFC downfield for a TD.
