SUMMARY: There was a raging debate before last season's NFL draft over the value of the top three quarterbacks, Vince Young, Matt Leinart and Jay Cutler. Young had the funky throwing motion, Leinart had the Heisman Trophy and Cutler had the big arm and the Vanderbilt smarts. All got on the field as rookies and entered this season as unquestioned starters: Young in Tennessee, Leinart in Arizona and Cutler in Denver. Young, the No. 3 pick, is arguably off to best start of the group. He broke all of the Titans' rookie passing records while throwing for 2,199 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also rushed for 552 yards. He has the Titans off to a 2-1 start with a game today against the Falcons. If his fine play continues, he can become the first quarterback since Dan Marino (1983-84) to be named to the Pro Bowl in his first two NFL seasons.
