I knew this wouldn't go down from the very beginning. In fact, I bet on my fan card on it not happening. If pmanning was a titan, I'd leave the fan base... if it was Eli, i woulda been all in. Pmanning is a step in the wrong direction and its a virtual vote of no confidence in our two incredibly talented qbs we have on our team now. What kind of message does that send to the team when you make one guy bigger than the team?

It was just a buncha delusional UTjr fans that can't let 1996 go for some odd reason that made all the fuss.

Titans fans who aren't UTjr fans never really wanted him

Titans fans weren't begging and pleading, that was Vols fans. You need to make this thread on a Vols message board.

I think here most people wanted ole' Noodle Neck to stay away.

Schaub, I'm sure you'd agree that the real UT is Univ of Texas and UTjr is University of Tennessee, they'll keep being UTjr until they start showing up to play big boy football.

It's the Titans fans in Tennessee. It's sad.. You'd think they'd put the pro team over college team but they can't get past the mid nineties. The rational titans fans don't live in Tennessee or don't put UTjr over the Titans.

FWIW, when i was a kid, Warren Moon and the Oilers were my team... and I lived in Nashville when the Titans showed up in town. I was watchin the games at Vandy and I was at the first game at LP(It will always be adelphia to me) and remember it like its yesterday.

Funny you should say that i'm a rational fan... People think I'm the village idiot around here.

Most of us didn't want the FO to pursue Peyton when it first came out we were interested.

Only once things wore on and we lost players we wanted to pursue otherwise were we into getting Peyton aboard.

I think it would have been awkward with Locker and I'd hate to give up on a guy like Locker to be honest.

The guy looks like he can be a real stud QB.

My only regret is that we couldn't sign guys like Mario or Chris Myers.

I'm interested to know how it feels to know your best defensive player just walked for BUFFALO (where he has zero connection) as well as your starting RT.

This feels like bizarro world where fans of teams that had worse offseasons suddenly have the right to talk crap on teams who did decent.

As you probably noticed, not a lot of people are butt hurt on this forum about the Manning decision. It made sense trying to get him to sign with the Titans because he is one of the best to ever play the position.
You should be more concerned about your Texans not going after Manning considering your starting QB is Matt Schaub, who is either injured or chokes when your team needs to rely on him.
But you will notice this coming season when your Texans suck again.:D
