And they abandoned it very quickly.
No, they didn't. 5-6 years is a normal life span for a console in this industry. Stop making crap up.
I want a new console. Had the 360 and ps3 long enough. I want a new Xbox in 2012.
Yeah... considering it lasted the 6 years that most consoles do. (including it's rival PS2 at the time)
Where does this myth that 5 -6 years is the normal lifespan?
Only the failed Saturn and the Gamecube, 64 and Xbox lasted 6 years or less. And the Gamecube and Xbox most likely stopped because they were being dominated by the PS2
NES, SNES, Megadrive, Master System, PS1, PS2 went over 6 years, and most likely Wii, 360 and PS3 will go over 6 years.
Once the 360 came out, the Xbox was done. No games, nothing.
It was out for 5 years. Released in 2001 in the US, discontinued in 2006.
The PS2 is still releasing games.
Like I said, PS2 is still being sold and still releasing new games. Xbox isn't.
what ps2 game are you buying next?
what that mean.
It means it was a typically dumb post by you.
