There are plenty of Dline upgrades in the draft. How we want to go about getting them is a much more complex question...

I assume you are talking about trading up. I think the only persons in our trade up range will be Carriker/Branch/Okoye. From the sound of people though I think DE is tops Adams/Anderson will be gone unless we give up our entire draft. I just don't see us doing that right now.

Does anyone need a reminder that our Run Defense was third from the bottom in rush yards/game. We had 20 TD's scored on us by rushing and there were 16 runs of greater than 20 yards. Our run defense was horrible. Guess what, Nick Harper won't fix that.

We need a WR, but we need DT and DE real bad. If Bobby Wade went from zero to hero in one season, I am willing to bet that had to do more with coaching than just him. Our offense will make it work. Championships are won with good defense. The colts D was great in the playoffs and that is why they one it. Let's get the D right and go from there. Peyton can't win if he isn't on the field.

So who do you suggest we get to replace the guys we have? Once again yes D-Line would be top priority if there was help available. Unfortunately it looks to me that it would be hard from a draft standpoint and FA/trade wise to get an upgrade therefore priority switches for me to WR. Everyone keeps saying we need help to stop the run, but who? Let me know who is available to us.

DT Ian Scott, former Bear, is still available, I have no idea if he's any good though.

That's the thing though....I have no problem bringing a guy like that in but he would more than likely be depth. Targeting depth can't be top priority. Getting a FA skilled/proven vet(D.Jackson) or a stud through the draft should be.

If we had a pick in the 5 thru 10 range or a beast DT was on the trade block, or a DE worth signing was available then priority would immediately switch to D-Line. Where we sit right now, only depth is available at DLine. Stud Wr's are available to us and people are saying it is not our top priority to get one of them top priority is to add depth to our DLine. I'm confused?

i cant beleive im saying this but im starting to shift over to the D-Line is our biggest need side, just because i dont think at 19 were going to get any proven #1's or 2s so whats the point in bringing another reciever who wont be useful?

DLine may very well be our biggest need but our #1 priority should be to get one of these playmaking WR's.

If we don't fix the run defense and D-Line, then we better get some wideouts, because we'll be playing catch-up every week. We might also want to get another backup QB because if VY is forced to throw the ball 50 times a game then he'll end up looking like David Carr by the end of the season.

Our #1 off-season priority HAS TO BE to stop the damn run. We've done nothing to fix that. Getting a good pass-rusher doesn't even matter if we don't fix the run D, because teams won't bother passing on us. They'll just run the ball down our throats again and tire us out.

DT, MLB, Safety and Defensive schemes all need an upgrade (not necessarily in that order).
