I would be down for this if we trade back. Using mock drafts Ogletree isn't close to being a top 10 pick and there really isn't a WR worthy of a top 10 pick. If we could fall back a few spots and pick up a 3rd then go Ogletree and Patton/Hunter/Hopkins that would be great. Then we can go OG and DE/CB/FS after that.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I swear to god you didn't read a word either one of us said.

And in no way shape or form does Ogletree not unseat McCarthy for the starting spot.

He likely won't be there when we trade back. Cincy, Pitt, Baltimore, and a few other teams have needs at MLB. Plus, while he lately hasn't been in the top 10, he was before free agency began. I find those to be the most accurate as far as play talent goes.

...and we wouldn't have Zach Brown.

edit: nevermind, I assume your talking about instead of KW.

Still say we go Guard. I feel that we are transitioning to an old Dinger offense that was played with George and McNair.

With a focus on the run getting better we'll need a stout oline. After that, well that is up in the air.

MLB is def important as is WR, but the prospects right now don't make sense and we are focusing on a slot guy. I would say we take Austin in the first and maybe a guard in the second.

or warmack at 10 and a slot guy in the 2nd. DE S and DT are still needs imo as well.

Next year I think we look to replace Britt, McCarthy, and CJ2K

I guess I kinda see where the logic for MLB and WR comes from but there is one major hint that it won't happen. The fact that the FO decided to go after and sign guys like Fokou and Jones pretty much tells you they are only after McCarthy insurance. They believe in him and are banking on the fact that he will be healthy. If they wanted a starting LB they would have pursued one. I honestly believe we got OG, DE, or CB in the first. Anything else would shock me. Yes the Kendall pick was a shocker last year but in retrospect it shouldn't have been. Our receiving corps were in shambles, it's just that we took the wrong kind of WR imo, the pick should have been Alshon. Our WR's aren't amazing but as a group they are solid no way we take one in the first, second maybe, by the 3rd definitely.
