since when though is size the sole determinant. You can have all the big, tall guys you want but if they don't perform well it doesn't mean anything

and saying line alone wins a game isn't a good argument either...especially if you're saying that size alone wins it

good job. you got a first down in a hypothetical 1-2 yard situation. That doesn't net you any points to win the game.

and unfortunately driving down the field isn't just solely 3rd and short situations either

Good job. you're arguing that a WR who has 591 yds and 4 TDs in 2 seasons and has had constant health/injury problems in his pro career is the best WR on your team

    seriously, good job there

Hey, Raider9175... I've said this before and I'll say it again...

Only the Lions, Browns, and Texans have worse win percentages over the last 10 years than the Raiders.

Y'all suck... and that's old news.

Can someone help me understand how a BIG o-line is supposed to stop a running back that...

RUNS OUTSIDE for most his big gains? You're not trying to stop Maurice Jones Drew here. CJ probably wont even see your D-Line while running outside on them all game.

size isn't everything when your talking about your o-line, one of the best gaurds i ever saw play in high school weighed 135 pounds, but his had incredible technique and could move 230+ pound Dtackles around because of it

No they are not. Their linebackers are slow for a 4-3 scheme.

Playing guys like Seymour and Houston at DE might help against the run but they are slow as far as DE's go.

With Seymour-Houston-Kelly-Henderson you have potentially the best DT rotation in the league but they won't do that.

By the way Kelly was a good player at 300-305. If he honestly is 335 lbs then he won't be worth a damn. If a team wants to use a 3-4 then they should play that scheme not a halfassed 4-3 scheme with 3-4 type personnel.

The average play mix in the nfl is 34 passes and 26 runs per game. So have an older 300 lb end rushing the passer and slower 255 LBs in coverage?
