Anyone saying Blount sucks or never was good is an idiot- to be nice about it.

He had the most yards of an RB in the NFL for the time he started his first year in TB... as a rookie. Dude played half the season and ended up putting up 1,000 yards. No one that "sucks" does that.


If you watched football instead of thinking "Oh. I haven't heard his name on Sportscenter in a while so he sucks", you'd know why his production is gone. Knee injury.

And with that known- no I wouldn't want him. But was this team brain-dead for letting him go? Absolutely.

Not really, he was a locker room cancer with no work ethic and it started to show on the field the year before. The knee injury did play its part but it isn't like he gave 100%

My take on Blount

Before Fisher waived him, I liked him

after Fisher waived him, I hated Fisher for it

but then I took a look at the tape, Blount was a one trick pony

couldn't catch, couldn't block, isn't a full-time starter, doesnt play special teams, and has an attitude problem

so pass

Their head coach, it was a fairly big deal before Morris left and it told signs of the drafting Martin.
