Would you re-sign Mason if he was available?

Some of the dumbest comments i have ever seen on this forum. Mason wearing down fast? Mason not good any longer?

Back to back 1000+ yard seasons! 182 catches! WTF! On a team that doesn't throw the ball much and has no other stud WR!

Get him now! Sign him to a 2 year $12M deal now!

Tough, fearless over the middle. Catches anything you throw to him. I want him!

Who gives a flying f&*&^%$#@#^&K what he said several years ago? We released him and he had a right to be mad.

This guy has been nothing but a good player, a near hall of famer a leader an example setter.

Anyone who does not want him back in a titans uniform is a lobotomized idiot!

Feh. I was going to give my answer, but I have to answer this first.

I wouldn't be so sure. Mason surpassed 10,000 yards receiving this year. He is #30 on the all-time list. One more season like he's had, and he'll almost reach the top 20.

Tony Gonalez, Muhsin Muhammed and Joey Galloway are the only active receivers outside of the top twenty still active that are ahead of Mason.

Inside the top 20, you have Isaac Bruce (#2 in receiving yards now), Marvin Harrison (#3), T.O. (#4), Moss (#9) and Holt (#14).

Mason passed Shannon Sharpe by a yard (10,061), trails Andre Rison by 144 yards, Lance Alworth by 205 yards, Harold Jackson by 311, Keyshawn Johnson by 510, Galloway by 650 (#s 29-25) and is 1312 yards behind #20, Keenan McCardell.

Two more seasons, Mason is probably a top twenty receiver all-time. The knock is a championship ring. He'll be in the discussion, not as a first-ballot guy, but maybe a third or so.

Mason has a couple of years left, easy. Well conditioned WRs have shown they can last until their mid-late 30s. If Mason's shoulder is fine, I'd say 2-3 years left. He's a tough competitor, and he does catch just about everything thrown his way. We could use a player like him.

But no way would I take Mason back. With some, there really is no going back. I bet Fish still likes Mase plenty, but I doubt coaching him again is his first choice.

I did want him back last year, I'll admit that. I thought it would have been a great move. But now we had the regular season game and the playoff game. No. I said before, his transformation to the dark side is complete.

But I agree with Puck. He can be a Titan again for one day, and that's to retire.

Uh he trash talked us after we released him, big deal. He continues to do it for 2 years and playing for the rivals doesn't help. Almost getting in a fight with our pro-bowl CB doesn't help.

Please explain to me why he isn't what he was. I keep seeing that on this thread, yet when I think back to the last two years I see no evidence of these allegations. He's had two of the best years of his career in the past two years, and the dude would play football with a broken neck if he had to. He's a former Titan, and it's still obvious. So what if he bashed us, we cut the guy and sent him packin after he put up consistently excellent numbers for us. Would you be happy?
