At this point? No, can't say that he deserves employment as a DC.

The Titans finished the 2000 season with the top-rated defense in the NFL. It gave up the third-fewest points in a 16-game season (191) and had the league's stingiest unit against the pass.

    2001
Fisher makes Schwartz the NFL's youngest defensive coordinator in February 2001 at 34. Same year, the defense fell to last against the pass in 2001 in Schwartz's first season as coordinator.

    yep.. the problem is Shwartz

Ill give him a pass for that year because of the injuries.. But even when our team was good thr following two years, his defense was the weak link.

the 121 in 4 games extrapoliates to 484 over the 2006 season. This negates the 4.1% improvement from 2004 to 2005 and makes a 15.0% decline in points allowed. think of it 1300+ points allowed in just 3 seasons that is averaging giving up a TD every quarter of every game - its in the All-Time bad range.

Heres a statement from Bulluck after the game

''I don't understand why we practice this stuff all week and then we come out there and it does not work, or we don't execute, or whatever it is"

To me that says there is no confidence in the schemes or the coaching...

Though I have a difficult time defending him, I also don't think you can totally blame him for the Titans being dead last against the run right now.

  9. It's no different from when things are going well. It's a total team effort. Both the players and the coaches deserve blame.
