I'm looking to make a scarecrow which will mounted on a 11-12' wooden upright and base.
Looking for a decent plan for the base. I imagine the upright will be either a succession of 2x4's or one long 2x4. Need to be able to disassemble the upright portion to work on and store..

Anyone do this kind of work here?

I'm not crazy about this below:

If you give him $20, @Scarecrow will just stand in your yard

Ask Craig Stevens for help, not like he's busy anymore. He does a lot of wood work as a hobby.

Michael Griffin works a lot of wood in his spare time too. Charges $25 per drill.

I have a pile of them in the garage - inside black pillow cases. Spiders like living on them.
    They get used every Halloween.
I need a good detachment or telescoping design though..
Didn't there used to be one or two folks here that did this stuff?
