I'm sure there are some combinations that would suprise you. For instance: McCarthy and Foku on the outside, Wimbley and Philips at ILB ... that would be surprising. lol

Brown's not getting on the field if he doesn't get his head right.

I attribute Zach Brown's disappointing season to Munchak firing that Linebackers coach from 2012. I expect to see a much better Zach Brown, and LBs in general with Horton at the helm.

Everyone has forgotten about Woodyard. We have a lot of LBs, and not many spaces for them. Some are getting shown the door.

    My guess is

    Ayers Woodyard Brown Phillips

I'm sure there will be plenty of rotation though.

Gooden, Fokou, McCarthy, Wimbley, have not earned spots. Any of them could, though. (besides Fokou)

And I assume they picked up Phillips and Woodyard for starting roles.

Horton likes to keep 10 LB's on his defense, so there's room for everyone.

Totally forgot about Morgan.. not sure where they are going to play him.

But they may draft a LB or two, so Fokou or McCarthy could still be out. I'd imagine they'd want LBs more in their defense's mold.

Gooden also strikes me as a Bulluck/Brown type who really would be best in a 4-3, because they lack the physicality and the pass rush.

You've been doubting Brown for some time now (not that I blame you)

But this guy is easily one of the NFL's best all around athletes, they'll find a way to use him.

I like the depth at LB, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out especially if Barr is sitting on the board at 11

I have high hopes for him too, but it's apparently that he hasn't been able to handle the mental side of things yet. His benching (and brutal play leading to the benching) was all the proof you need.

It won't surprise me if he busts and the new coaching staff decides they don't have much use for him. I don't expect it, but I wouldn't be surprised.
