You mean just like Kevin Dudd was supposed to be fine for Training camp last year? And Sammy Watkins is 100% healthy after 5 Jones fx surgeries?

    That's why.

Obviously he's had complications with it...but do these doctors/trainers not know what you know?

I'm reading he will never recover from gotitans members, yet world renowned foot specialist are doing these surgery's and not telling these guys that football isn't in their future because the injury they have won't ever heal properly?

What's the chance this never heals??? If he took this year off (redshirt another year) to fully recover...likely is good for next season or likely this never fully heals?

I assume this would be something that would have been flagged at the combine???

As mentioned before, Jones fractures have a high rates of complications (non-union). If everything goes right, then yeah they'll be back in 3 months. But, if something goes wrong (the bone doesn't heal), then you need to reoperate, make non-weightbearing, etc. The rate of non-union is relatively high for Jones fractures

he'll heal, eventually. But it's one of those things where he needs to be fully shut down, put in a cast and not allowed to run for at least 3-4 months period.

Even team doctors will sometimes allow players to come back sooner than they ideally want, especially with pressure coming from coaches, fans, and even the player. The most common reason for failure is return to sport prior to radiographic union, and we often use this study to support that.
