This is going to sound crazy but I kinda hope that we get Newton now w/ the expectation that he will sit for 2-3 seasons behind a veteran. Newton has all of the potential in the world and with a good coach he could be dominating.

He's not already out the door. His status has not changed at all. I'm sure they will release him in feb when they can.
