Maybe not a hot topic, but I'm going to need a new mouse for my pc. I see some cost like $70....no thanks :greedy: Anyone got any preferences for cheap mice?

I think I hate mice with wires. Hate them to pieces.

I don't recall how much I paid for it, but I've used a Logitech wireless mouse (and an Acer wireless keyboard) for years. I'm very tactile so the feel of both was very important to me, so you might want to actually handle the one you're considering before buying it.

Guess I'll have to see what Best Buy has, hopefully I can try that.

Hey Puck, I didn't get a Mac. Maybe you thought I got one after we talked about it, but I got a cheapie Dell that I figured would get me by for awhile. Trying a Mac still looks interesting.

    MXRevolution :)

IF I were to get a wireless, but I've gone back to a wired mouse. Wireless mice suck for the most part and are becoming a dying fad it seems.

sorry man, I thought you got a Mini
oh well, I think they make that a similar model for PC

anyway, Laser is a good option as is Bluetooth
my Microsoft (yes, I know) Wireless Optical just took a dive, so I'm in the market myself

I started to get the Logitech Desktop Wave kit, til I found the above S530, which has dedicated iTunes, Mail, Safari, iPhoto, etc. hotkeys

-- if you plan on doing alot of graphics / photoshop work, most people don't like the inaccuracy of wireless mice - fwiw

Which is probably where I form my opinion, by reading a lot of design blogs and their opinions on mice.

Its more important in the larger scales of design, I suppose. Like, simple sigs and all you can do with any sort of mouse because there's not much precision needed.
