A rarity in today's market of seemingly one million card brands. Cortland Finnegan only has two RC's

    Here they be:

    06 Sweet Spot 216/699
    [IMG]

    06 SP Authentic 1008/1399

These are actually pretty tough to get your mitts on. They're not overly scarce, I guess it comes down to the perception from e-sellers the Finnegan is a marginal player so no one bothers putting his cards up for auction.

Earl Campbell: Topps the lost year (1980-1986)

During his career Earl Campbell only had cards produced one year in 1979. I'm not sure why, but for some reason Campbell got in a dispute with Topps and they never produced another card while he was active.

These likely won't be very meaningful to anyone other than collectors (as if the rest of my posts in this forum aren't), but a guy produced some of his own mock-ups of Campbell cards from those missing years... I think they're pretty cool.

I wonder how long until Topps sues the guy.

Not much after it's spent all those years in your underpants drawer.

Both Campbell Saints cards pictured above were custom made by the guy I purchased them from. I guess if you have one you bought it from him recently also. Hard to put a value on stuff like this... it's an unlicensed product and I'm sure in making them he's breaking a ton of copyright laws.

    I've got mail!

    A couple of nice PW's

    07 Press Pass Blue 32/50

Still love Press Pass, nice simple design, on card auto. If Press Pass keeps this up, it might become my favourite brand.

I picked this one up on the flukey cheap. Only $0.99! It was a one day listing, must have snuck through the cracks.

For those couple who may be interested, recently deceased former Oilers great George Webster never had any certified autos, well just prior to his death Webster signed a bunch of stuff for a Michigan State college release from TK Legacy Sports. They're just showing up on eBay now, as far as I can tell there are two different versions he signed. I picked one up for around $8.50 at auction then found the other for $5 in eBay stores. They're nice on card autos and obviously George won't be doing any more signing so I thought I'd offer a heads-up on the off chance someone might be interested.

    Here's one up for auction...

    here's the other variation...
