Will Young take some snaps in Houston?

    So did Volek. Matter of fact, at the time, Volek had the two best games consecutively that a QB has ever played. Look at the QB's Heimerdinger has brought along. He made McNair a better pocket passer. You are sadly mistaken.

    Another poor analysis. This is EXACTLY what has killed/can kill his development. He needs to be on the sideline taking mental reps. There's no doubt in my mind that he has already benefited from being a backup this season, but why the rush to risk negating all the time he has spent actually learning from Collins this season.

    Putting Young on the field right now, and I'm strictly speaking of a role beyond garbage time QB, would be the result of a long series of selfish acts from different individuals. It would not be fair to Collins or the team to bench Collins for any other reason than to rest for the playoffs, because the team will need him, not Young. Young is like wet dynamite right now. He could still boom or bust. Those wanting to toss him right back to the wolves right now certainly aren't thinking of the team's best interests, or even Young's best interests for that matter.
