    I still think I'm right, but if I'm wrong, I'd assume it's an error - a huge one, at that.

    It shouldn't be. They often pay the price and get fired but a lot of times coaches aren't given what they want or need to win. Since most fans rarely even recognize or know thier GM and the coach is such a public figure, the coach makes a great scape goat. Anyone can name tons of coaches who never really had a shot and got canned to create the appearance that the FO was "serious about winning" or "making a change".

    I just want to be able to compete with the better teams instead of going into the game knowing your going to get blown out by the better teams!
