Posted by ESPN.com's Paul Kuharsky
The Jaguars are on the road Sunday in a late afternoon game with playoff implications.

Unfortunately, those implications all pertain to the Ravens, who clinch the final Wild Card spot with a win.

Jacksonville quarterback David Garrard said he views the spoiler possibilities as a good thing.

"I think that it really gives you a good test, a good test to be able to say, 'You know what, we stack up with these guys even though they are going to the playoffs or have a chance to go to the playoffs. We stack up into a point where we can knock off a potential playoff team,'" he said. "Just finish the season strong and finishing it with a smile on your face, being able to go into the offseason knowing that you finished on a good note and you have things to prepare for and look forward to for the future."

The Jaguars have looked disinterested in some of their late season games, but they put up a good effort the last two weeks. They beat Green Bay and played well early in last Thursday's prime time appearance against the Colts in another game with big playoff implications. They fell short in that one at the end.

I'm curious to see if Jack Del Rio is able to get a big effort out of his guys following Christmas on the last day of a disappointing season or if his players are watching the game clock and calculating what time they'll get home and start the offseason.
