Most teams that keep three QBs keep them because:
    1) There are questions about the starting QB
    2) Teams are afraid of their two QBs going down in the same game, which might make the game un-winnable.

As much as we all love Rusty, he is not starting, or really even backup caliber. I'd take my chances with two active QBs, and cut Rusty to open up an extra roster spot. But that's not my call.

We kept Rusty to run the scout team, Locker/Hass prepared for starting the game. With Fitz being the clear backup, Rusty is gone and yes, they'll probably sign some PS guy. I'm surprised they haven't brought someone in for camp.

You can't cut your official mascot. That's like the Milwaukee Bucks cutting Bango. Ya can't do it.

We should give him legit time in the preseason to show what he can do so he can go to another team.

    Rusty can play.

To me, I don't see any reason to keep Rusty.

My philosophy would be to almost always draft a QB in rounds 4-7 so you hope they become a future solid backup or maybe an interim starter at some point (or if you are real lucky a Brady).

That's why I wish we would've taken Barkley, Nassib, Landry Jones, Tyler Wilson at pick #97. Of course now that I say that I'm sure Gooden will be the next Ray Lewis and someone can bump this post in 5 years to tell me what a moron I am.

And of course we would've taken Kirk Cousins last year. So our QB roster right now would be Locker, Cousins, and Barkley.
