Why isnt Lattimore a no brainer with the 5th pick?

I posted in a different thread, but Daniel Jeremiah from NFL.com had is taking Hooker at 5, and Corey Davis at 18. Would allow Cyp to play more of a hybrid role.

 

I think Robinson has already confirmed Searcy to be apart of the team. We already have our 3 starting S. I don't think the pick is going to be Adams or Hooker.

I'm thinking Lattimore/Jon Allen at 5, best offensive playmaker at 18

 

Maybe, but I'd take Hooker before Allen.

 

Yup. That's where I'm at, obviously try to trade #5 to recoup that 2nd. If not go Lattimore @ 5 & a playmaker for Mariota at 18.

It makes sense if you believe hooker or Adams are going to be elite players. If you think you have that in a CB or WR that's great.

It's not gonna happen.

For the ppl still calling for a S at 5: tell me which of our safeties are we going to pay 5-6 million dollars to be the #4 S and sit on the bench? Searcy or Cyprien? It's not happening.
