He also had a down year and got injured.Much like Robert Woods before him his production slipped due to situations beyond his control (bad QB play mostly). The kid will be a really good pro. Great route runner, with easy speed. Whoever the USC receivers coach is he'll probably get a shot in the NFL soon. His receivers are all very well coached and dynamic route runners. They got a kid Nelson Agholor who I think will be a Junior this year who is a Lee clone with less speed but a bit more size.

All I have to do is watch Lee against Arizona. Catches a slant and outruns three guys with angles to the end zone. The next Torry Holt.

congrats on hittin it and hittin it good nickmsmith

Watkins has the speed, which is intangible and since offense is transitioning to the air game, receiver stock is rising for the for seeable future.

That being said, I still think Evans will be better and like him more than Watkins.

Watkins is the best WR to come out since Julio Jones/AJ Green . He's a legit Top 10 talent. Still, this WR class is pretty deep and if I had other immediate needs, I'd probably pass on Watkins in the Top 10. I'd say any the top 3 or 4 WR's from this yrs draft would probably have been the top rated WR in last yrs draft.

But to be honest, if you don't need a QB or LT and Clowney is off the board as well, then I don't see how you can pass on Watkins.

Watkins is crazy instinctive with the ball in his hands. Guys that size that are that elusive are rare. I think he is a bit overrated, too.

People are down on Lee because he is kinda small and a 4.5 guy, but he plays a lot faster. I think he is crazy good.

Evans has a ridiculous body and had huge games under the spotlight. He also frequently disappeared.

Watching Cooks in college, I was impressed more by how hard he would work to get open than by his ridiculous athleticism and production. He is the only guy that I saw that got triple covered and still would find an opening.
