they are restarting a franchise in a new place, it takes time. many of the old rams fans moved on to other teams. i imagine it will take a while to get some of them back. winning should do it long-term though

Not surprising since no one wanted the Rams there in the first place. It will take a while before they get any fan support.

Seeing a lot of "it will take time" posts. That's BS. No amount of time will get the LA fans to watch the Rams or Chargers pending multiple SB and probably in a row.

Lakers and USC run that town and the fans in general are extremely fair weathered not to mention all the implanted fans that wanted to live in SoCal.

10 years and the Rams and Chargers will both be discussing new cities to move to. (Maybe 15)

It amazing how college teams that play out in the middle of no where will get packed stadiums but some NFL teams struggle to fill up the stadiums.

It's obvious why college teams get so many fans.

A lot of the time, college football games are college re-unions. There's an actual tie to the team thru the school itself. You don't really get that with NFL.

Fans in the NFL only care about whether or not the team is good.

Except in LA... The Rams look to be legit this year and the city doesn't seem to care.

That being said, their stadium is right off the interstate and it's closer to the industrial part of LA.

A lot of your affluent neighborhoods are geographically close, but traffic is a nightmare.

I went to Hollywood Blvd to party with some work friends once... I got stuck traffic in downtown LA on the interstate at 2:30am. Didn't get to my hotel until 4:30am.

I've been to Hollywood Park Casino and (formerly the horse track before it was tore down) and this is area where the new stadium is being built. (Inglewood)

I predict that they will have the same issues getting people to/from the stadium. Other than Hollywood Park Casino (just a poker room) there really isn't much to do outside of the stadium itself. It's in Inglewood. The only positive is that its close to LAX. They say they are building an entertainment complex... but as most of you know, Inglewood has one of the highest crime rates in the USA. We'll see how that works out.

Contrast that with Nashville and can simply walk across the bridge and be in the entertainment district and continue your party after the NFL game.

Hell, I went to a Lakers game at the Staples Center once... LOL that was a traffic nightmare.... I was staying in North Hollywood and it took us 2 hours to get parked.
