Right now, Myles Garrett is it.

There COULD be other players but we'll need to see some huge combine, championship game, all star, senior bowl and pro day performances to see.

Garrett looked like a #1 overall in 2015. Not so much in 2016 so even he has work to do!!!

It's funny, people want to knock Garrett for beating up on lesser schools. How come other players like Barnett and Allen DIDN'T beat up on those guys too?

And it's not like Garrett hasn't beaten high level OT prospects. Tunsil, Robinson...

Meanwhile, Allen has beat up on a lot of bad OG's and has been singled blocked most of the time because of Tim Williams and Ryan Anderson. How come no one knocks him for that?

Maybe Garrett would beat up more SEC guys if he was single blocked all the time too!

Not knocking....just pointing out the facts....I think Garrett will be a good player...just not what allen or barnett will be.

I think Allen and Barnett can be very good players in this league. Allen could be the next Aaron Donald. But Garrett has a higher upside IMO.

But considering his last season, he could also not come close to it and perhaps be below Allen and Barnett based on 2016. Depends on what you chalk up his play to. Was it because he was injured and or protecting himself...or because of a reverse to his intense motor he showed in 2015? I thought Bosa took too many plays off in his last college year but he had an excellent rookie season.

    We'll see.

good example why not to bother with combine numbers at all

combine is good for one thing; seeing if a player has continued to improve since they last saw him in a game,

    thats it

Combine is good to see if players who look good will really suck. Which is why I do not blame top prospects for skipping it.

Barrett reminds me of Dwight Freeny...somewhat

read an article about prospects not taking the wonderlic, there is literally nothing to gain from taking it

but i think its a good idea for them to go to the event. For one, it shows they believe in themselves and have nothing to hide. Also a good idea to network while there..

Its just tennessee homers upset Garrett is the #1 even tho their numbers are similar.

Don't forget Garrett was basically injured this entire year on an ankle.

I think garrett needs to improve his technique because in college he never really needed it. But yea also played good against Tunsil and Robinson without the best technique. Teach him a move or two and the sky is the limit for him.

Barnett just lacks some athleticism though I think he could still be a fine player. Just doesn't have the elite ceiling.
