    Alright, my definition of a "tandem" is a group that is in line. A group can be 2, 3, or more.

    The bicycle thing you mentioned is a tandem, but not because of two, but because there's one rider in front of the other.

    Make sense?

    Doing things in "Tandem" would mean in sync. Really duo or pair would be a better discription.
    But in this case tandem means two.

    I was originally going to use the word duo, but I didn't want to limit myself to teams with only two good RB's. I really wanted to be able to include the Saints cause they don't have a true No.1, 2 or 3 guy. All 4 of their RB's can play, and I think they'll be a very good running team, even with Brees throwing for 5,000 yards.

    You can nitpick it all you want. But in this case tandem means pair. The same way a two wheeled cart or a pair of horses is referred to as a "tandem" or a two axle truck is considered a tandem axle.
