Umm... do you not remember the Colts game? They came from behind ON US. Via a Rosencopter gift. Moving the ball against prevent defenses is not where we got all of our yards there chief. I am well aware of our turnover and red zone issues. Many a broncos fans told us that it would take 3-5 years to fully get the system up and running and in full steam. Btw... Kyle Shannahan got his first chance to call plays in the last game of the year against the Bears who were fighting for the playoffs. We went 5-5 in the redzone and pretty much had that game throughout. We are absolutely getting there Is it proven yet.... no. But you would have "lol'ed" at me if I would have told you last year our O would be in the top 5 in total yardage by seasons end.... wouldnt you have?

Doubt our offense all you want.... but its going to be damn near one of the best in the league for years to come. Alex Gibbs is a huge part of that. Schaub definitely needs to put together a full season no doubt. His games missed this year were due to a late (Carson Palmer type) hit by Jared Allen on Schaubs knee that got J Allen a fine. Not many QBs would have played after that. However... by years end in 5 less games he threw for 400 more yards than Colllins did and beat him in pretty much every category. Not to mention Collins had the luxury of your defense to help him out. The thing is... you dont WANT Schaub to play a full season. Down the stretch last year (4 games @Gb, Tenn, Chi, @oak) he threw for over 1200 yards, 5 tds to 2ints, 63 comp%, for a 95 passer rating. AJ top 5? Andre Johnson very well maybe the best WR in the game.

No laughing going on here... I am quite happy where my team is headed. And absolutely no way I trade Schaub for Kerry Collins btw.

This whole "well neither team has won a Superbowl" argument is a fancy way of saying "the Titans have had tons of accomplishments including an AFC championship, multiple AFC South championships, posted the leagues best record, had an MVP player, multiple pro bowlers each year, the respect of every team around the league and the longest tenured coach in the NFL, just no Superbowl" but we the Texans have none of that so were even because neither of us have a Superbowl ring.

None of us envy the Chiefs right now because they have a ring, that team is a joke and nobody cares they have a Superbowl, believe me, I'd rather have the team we have now than a Superbowl championship before I was born so I couldn't even enjoy it.

It's also funny. We experience plenty of trash talk from fans, especially the Jets, and none of them ever bragged about having a Superbowl and us not. Funny, the Texans are the only team to mock us for having never won a Superbowl and yet their the only team to not even make the freaking playoffs.

    :suspect:

I suppose that's why the Titans offense is ranked 14th in points per game; tied with Chicago and the Texans are ranked 17th in points per game?

    Whatever dude.

    Moo!

I love how the guy who only recognizes Super Bowl wins holds yards per game above points... because everyone knows points don't matter, just yards.

And that's the beauty of it. Simply by the Texans making the playoffs this year (depending on the off season fixes on defense... I think they have a great shot).... then that leaves you guys with exactly what to look down upon our 8 yr old franchise???

Yes...I would trade CJ, Gage, Collins, and Crumpler for Schaub, O. Daniels, Andre Johnson, and Steve Slaton in a heart beat!! If you guys had our offense with that D of yours from last year.... there would be ZERO stopping yall.

You can realistically hope for a 50/50 shot because that is as good as it has ever been. Anything else is just kool aid. Bragging about next year in the off season is akin to hollering in an empty tunnel to hear your echo.

I love the "we have other sports here" smack. I thought we were talking about football.

I suppose if I were a Texans fan, I might also pay more attention to inferior sports. Nashville has the Predators and a live music scene that rivals any city in the world. What does any of that have to do with football? That's the daily double and I'll answer "what is 'squat' Alex."

Of course I would have laughed if you'd said that you would be in the top five in total offensive yards! I would have laughed at all kinds of things, and most of them wouldn't have come true, because the Texans STILL weren't good enough to make the playoffs. Don't try to brag because one part of your game improved, especially when it's debatable about how much it improved... you were bragging about all kinds of things to start the season, and most of them failed miserably, as you ended up 8-8 and third in the division again!

The Colts came from behind against you? That's right! (and I wouldn't brag about it) But it's also only 1 of 16 games... Week 1, The Steelers were up 21-0 halfway into the second quarter, so I'd say you played from behind most of that game. Week 3, you played us, and you were down 21-12 at half and never got closer than that, so I'd say you were playing from behind. Week 4, the Jags game, that wasn't a blow out, I'll give you. Week 5, the Rosencopter game, it's not like you were really playing to protect a lead for long, you trailed by 10 at the end of the first quarter, and only got up by more than a TD at the end of the 3rd quarter. Week 6, you beat the Dolphins, but you only led in that game for about 8 minutes, most of it you were behind. We're all impressed that you were able to hold a lead against the Lions and Bengals. Congrats, be proud of those. Weeks 9 and 10, you trailed the Vikings and Ravens almost the entire game in both cases. Week 11, you kept it reasonably close against the Colts for almost 3 quarters, so good job. The sad thing is, the next week you did the same thing against the browns, so maybe don't pat yourself on the back too quickly. Week 13, you beat the heck out of the Jags, probably in your best game of the season. Kept the lead the whole way. Congrats, even though it was the Jags. Week 14, you beat Green Bay, keeping it close most of the game. Week 15, you piled up the yards against us, and we were very impressed. But 12 points will make you lose 9/10 times. Week 16, Oakland jumped out to an early lead on you, and you managed to lose to them by 9. The Chicago game, where you racked up the yards, yeah, you were behind for almost the entire first half.

While mostly, this run through makes me laugh at your failures, it also points out that in a ton of these games, you were either playing from behind, or in such a tight game that you couldn't protect a lead. How many low scoring, clock running, protect the lead games were you in? Basically one, against the Browns. Congrats on that high flying offense though, I'll be impressed by yardage output when you can score in the top half of the league. Progess at the end of the season only means something if you get to the playoffs, it's a whole new team next year.
