That's right, you haven't even been around here a full year, you couldn't have made those predictions. However, your fellow cow fan look-alike friends have been making the same terrible excuses for years.

Oh, your defense will be THE focal point of your offseason? Why didn't you say so? Clearly, if you're really focusing on it, you'll be much better! Too bad you didn't really focus on it until now, did you not think it was important? Do you think that the other ten or so NFL teams with bad defenses will only kind of focus on it?

You're right, focus is key. You guys will be unstoppable next season.

Dreaming is fine. Talking random smack about how great your team will be is a little silly, especially when you have very little ground to stand on.

I get it, you're very proud because you've gone two seasons without posting a losing record. It's a great thing for you guys. Don't crown yourselves yet, though, and don't expect other fans to believe that you're right on the verge of being a playoff team.

In order for the Texans to make the playoffs they need a QB and they don't have one. Schaub is garbage.

We weren't a playoff team last year... no sh--. I never said we were. Your single out is one item of a bigger picture I see as a fan of this team. Are we a playoff team yet? NOPE... and we wont officially be until we literally do it. But if you think that a hard schedule in this league doesn't have an advantage over an easy one... then why even continue discussing?

How about this from another angle to where maybe you can understand. Say the Texans played in say the NFC West this past season... or the NFC South the year before... you could argue our record would have logically been better and basically playoff worthy. Its part of everything else in getting a sense of where you are as a team. You guys act like its idiotic to think we might build on what we already have... which we will most likely lose no one. But its all the Texans suck will never win anything, they are cursed, no playoffs for their entire existence.. blah blah blah.

Do you need a bouncing ball? Maybe one of these days you will actually read my posts that clearly explain just how bad this team was that Kubiak inherited. Do you guys not remember the 60 sack David Carr no weapon Capers led teams?? Maybe Kubiak should have just sprinkled some pixie dust around early on and poof! An entire overhaul of a solid 2 deep playoff roster!! Not to mention they have just NOW fixed our cap hell and we are free (over 30 million free) and clear of the cap.

I guess we shouldnt have drafted Slaton and gotten a D player last year instead??? Or not shored up our LT spot and gotten a DE instead??? You getting it now?

Hmm... you sure you dont want to change that? Maybe oft injured so far or something? But Garbage???? PLEASE. Feel free to explain that one. I will throw you some bones to chew on in the mean time.

    Schaub:
    -3rd in yards per completion
-7th in passer rating at 92.7%,
-4th in completion pct at 66.1%
    -4th in yards per game
    -2nd in 1st down%
-Threw for 400 more yards and 3 more tds than Kerry Collins did in 5 less games.

    Oh I'm sorry. Allow me.

There, there's the credit you guys deserve for some AWESOME moves you guys have made. Like signing Chris Brown and drafting the left tackle who surrendered the most sacks in the NFL. WAY TO GO!

You forgot to add that he's missed 10 games in the last two years and had 10 fumbles last year. He sucks, his name sucks, his team sucks, his left tackle sucks and he will forever be Michael Vicks backup.

Well one won 13 games which was best in the league and the other didn't. All of Matt Schaub's cool numbers and $5 will get him a foot long sub at Subway.

lol... yes omg! What will we ever do with all this negative cap space we are facing from signing that massive 3 million contract for Brown?? He was merely a low risk with stop gap solution potential. He was no better than a couple of other RBs we brought in last year to create competition. Its called bridging the gaps till we can get around to drafting the long term solutions. Its not rocket science.

And I will side with Alex Gibbs on Duane Brown. He his happy with his progress and thinks he will be a very good LT for us for a long time. I think that guy knows what he is talking about when it comes to offensive linemen. Don't you?

And I get it now... you absolutely positively KNOW whats going to happen to Schaub. He has zero talent at all. Only a scrub garbage player could possibly put up those numbers in the NFL. I am pretty sure you had Mario amounting to absolutely nothing after his rookie season too. YOU KNOW YOU DID. Injury concerns.... yep. Garbage?? Get a new one.

Out of interest Texxan, do you think Schaub was worth the trade considering what you gave up for him?

Hard to say right now. If he continues to get hurt however it may happen... then absolutely not. But its kinda hard to predict injuries ya know? Play wise he definitely needs to improve his red zone decision making which did improve as the season went on last year. He showed quite a bit of moxie after coming back from that cheap hit on his knee by J Allen against Minn... and really played solid down the stretch. Better than anyone expected. He has definitely shown flashes of someone who can get it done at a high level... but he has to get more consistent and of course stay on the field. If he does... he can be real good. But the jury is still out on this one.
