If the contract was set up in our favor, then I guess I wouldn't mind it. But he would need to have played out of his mind for a full season for me to be okay with a deal. We just better make sure we have a formidable backup if that's the plan. I would hate to keep Whitehurst as the backup. I'm all for "having faith in Locker," but rolling with Clipboard Jesus as the backup is essentially having blind faith in Locker. Need to be better prepared than that. It was different for the Chargers considering Rivers has never missed a game (to my knowledge).
