nothing like coming back into town and having over 1100 post to glance through.

my thoughts on the first 2 pick..one bad, one good..you figure out which is which.

my thoughts on McNair..don't let the door hit you on the way out..if we can get draft picks for him (from the Ravens) for 2007 go for it..if not cut your losses now.

    let the ripping begin:brow:

I say we change him in 12 easy steps!!!

    1. We admitted we were powerless over QB's — that our lives had become unmanageable.
    2. Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
    3. Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.
    4. Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
    5. Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.
    6. Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.
    7. Humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.
    8. Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.
    9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.
    10. Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
    11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
    12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these Steps, we tried to carry this message to compulsive haters and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

Follow this guide and you will be a Vince Young fan in no time!:lol3:

bipolar, I will rank Young over your hero Jones. :brow:

Seriously, I don't think Young will be what everyone thinks he will be. He will be another McNair who is a good not great QB. He will be hurt a LOT (just like Mcnair) if he continues to run the ball. Just wait till some LB or DB lays him out. (remember McNair's sternum injury)
He can't read defenses. He looks at the 1st WR or TE, then takes off running. That isn't going to cut it. Most not all running QB's don't last long. A QB has to be mobile to avoid the rush. That doesn't mean he has to take off running constantly.

I am worried about his passing ability. People can rant and rave about what he did in college, sorry this isn't college. The talent level jumps ten fold from college.

I hope he proves me wrong but I don't think so.

Well, maybe the Young pick guarantees 2 more years of your buddy Steve... if all you say there is true... and some of it is. At least you are not in denile. Consider step one conquered. As for my hero Jones... I support them %100 when all is well so I can chew them when they screw the pooch. If Fisher shows Pacman the door I'll be the one telling him not to let the door hit him on the way out. I consider the Young/White era to have begun.

McMVP originally injured the sternum against the Chiefs in the Colesium. Bruce Matthews gave up on a McNair scramble and his man, a Defensive lineman, had an 3 or 4 step unobstructed run directly into a cutting back McNair. Big hit by a big man because an old and slow Matthews could not be bothered to continue blocking downfield.

GoT, I remember the hit quite well. The whole stadium gasped when it happened. You could hear that hit throughout the stadium.

I have to tell you that, while as huge a Vandy/Cutler fan I am, I couldn't be happier with the Titans draft. I was at Cutlers draft party and me and maybe three other guys were excited about the pick. Now as a Cutler fanatic Ewker you should be excited to see what Cutler will do in that Denver offense. They are retooling like crazy and setting him up for a ton of success in the NFL. Already got my denver and TN jerseys on back order!!!
