When is Vince going to open it up???

    I think this will be a big, big game for VY.

    Consider the last few defenses he's faced: Indy, Jacksonville, New England. Teams loaded with defensive talent, and each of them has one or more Pro Bowl caliber players in the secondary.

    The Saints don't have nearly as much talent in the secondary, and are a pretty mediocre defense overall.

    Considering what VY did against mediocre defenses last year (Bills, Giants, Texans, the '06 Colts). He shredded these teams both running and passing, and was absolutely unstoppable at times. Those games are what won him ROY. And the Saints' defense is very much in the vein of those teams.

    I think it's quite possible that VY could blow some people's minds this Monday.

    True enough, but in '03, he was just shy of his yards from '02 while playing two less games. His QB rating was over 100 in '03, with only seven interceptions. He also had substancially less rushing yards in '03, as he depended on his arm more often. We had McCareins on the team, and we really stretched the field in '03. Most teams had to play from behind when they played us that year, as we usually had an early lead. '02, '03, doesn't really matter. McNair generally became a more polished passer in that era.

    I would be surprised if we see Vince do anything besides hand the ball off A LOT to Lendale and Chris Brown.
