I recommend Monells. Very good place.
An of course I always go to Rotiers every time I come to town.
From Nashville to Memphis? Thats about average and I did that about once a month.
I do it 3 hours at 80 mph
I smell a race off.
Nashville to Memphis takes me 3 hours as well.
Rippy's (previously recommended) is pretty good. I also like Edley's BBQ which is 12 south.
Big River on broadway (downtown) is pretty good and has some good beer selections. Algeria's mexican on Robert Jones Rd. (12 south/green hills) is really good with quality food.
Hidden favorites I've had recommended to me (but have not tried all of):
I've always been a fan of Gerst Haus which is by the Titans stadium.
And you should definitely try a Bushwacker at Broadway Brewhouse (or edley's bbq). They are like strong alcohol frosties. Brewhouse has some good grub too.
And Chappys is some good New Orleans/cajun food... he was a chef from New Orleans that transplanted here after the hurricane. Chappy's is midtown.
Almost all of those places have websites btw.
Well if you drive like a civilized person, it takes 4 hours.....
Lol... I really don't remember driving that fast. Last time I passed through (or got really close to Memphis) was on the way to Ole Miss. We made it to Ole Miss in 4 hours, 15 mins.
I typically drive 75-80 on the interstate. Depends how everyone else is driving. Can't afford another ticket, but I definitely have a bad habit of speeding without even realizing it.
I also drive with traffic, but usually when I would drive, it would be VERY early in the morning. Can't exactly blend in with no one else on the roads.
