It turns out damage from Hurricane Ike to Reliant Stadium has affected three teams, not just the two involved in Monday's game that was postponed.
Here is what the schedule change means for each team:
    [IMG]Houston Texans
The best news for the Texans is that the NFL believes the retractable roof at Reliant Stadium is salvageable this season. Chunks of the roof reportedly were ripped off the stadium, and although Monday's game was postponed, there was no mention of the league relocating Houston's home dates in October or beyond.
On the field, Houston's bye week comes very early and unexpected. The team will have to play 15 straight weeks, while most teams get a break somewhere between week four and week 10. A case can be made that the team never really had a bye, because the Texans were practicing all week in preparation for Ravens despite not playing in the game.

The Ravens obviously face a similar situation to Houston. Baltimore, technically, had its bye week taken away for the 2008 season.
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is doing all he can to rest his team by giving his players Sunday, Monday and Tuesday off. The team will return to work Wednesday in preparation for its Sept. 21 contest against the Cleveland Browns.
"We'll have a Cleveland game plan ready for them when they come in on Wednesday," Harbaugh said Saturday in a team statement.
    [IMG]Cincinnati Bengals
The NFL was very creative in using the Bengals to solve the issue with least amount of change to their schedule.
Cincinnati will keep its bye week. It will be moved back two weeks to Nov. 9, while the Bengals travel to play the Texans on Oct. 26.
This shouldn't impact the Bengals much. They join the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as bye-week teams during the second weekend of November.
Overall, this was very good foresight and quick reaction by the league.
