The NFL recently informed the city of Minneapolis of what they expect of the hosting city.

Roger Goodell is something. Ensuring the Super Bowl sites infrastructure can handle the influx of people during the week of the big game is one thing, but demanding a town hand over Presidential suites at no cost in high-end hotels??? What...?

The NFL is a multibillion dollar empire, and they want handouts? I guess a penny saved really is a penny earned.

More obscure expectations the league forces on cities:
    • free billboards
    • free police escorts
    • free turf for the game
No wonder the Commissioner is booed everywhere he goes.

That's pretty sad, not that I'm surprised.

Do you think if somehow Goodell had to step down they would get someone just like him, or is there someone out there the fans would actually like? I've always wondered if he pissed off the wrong fan, who's a little crazy, if someone would just go take him out.

My question is does the host city still make a nice profit from the influx of travelers and potentially future tourists? Because if they do I'd just chalk all that up to the cost of doing business. New Orleans loves hosting the Superbowl and every year cities compete to host it. I doubt these expectations are new and teams still fight to host so how bad could they be?

NFL fleecing taxpayers is nothing new.
