What I think they are thinking today in the four team headquarters of the AFC South...

    Houston Texans

The coaching message about turnovers is not getting through, and we are nowhere near talented enough to survive four interceptions by Sage Rosenfels. We provided enough hope that a lot of our fans and some media expected us to beat Baltimore. After that brutal showing, now they are suggesting we might not win again.

Stay-the-course will be a hard sell in the meeting room on Wednesday, so we need to find a twist that will help our guys buy in. But if Joe Flacco and Baltimore's offense are cutting through our defense, what the heck are we going to do Sunday at Indianapolis against a Colts team that's a lot better than the one we should have beaten back on Oct. 5? Will Rosenfels have flashbacks to his late-game collapse, or will he step up, anxious to redeem himself?

    Indianapolis Colts

OK, we made it through a brutal five-game stretch by going 3-2 and wins over Baltimore, New England and Pittsburgh and looking pretty good. Those victories may not have looked like the kind we've gotten used to over the years, but we're not looking to score well in a beauty pageant, we just want the Ws. Life gets way easier now - toss out the season finale against Tennessee at Lucas Oil Stadium and we don't see another team with a winning record the rest of the way.

Maybe the grind-it-out style we've had to play will benefit us in the long run. Maybe we'll have to play that way all the time. But maybe against a Houston (this week), a Cincinnati (Dec. 7) and a Detroit (Dec. 14) we can find a couple wins that are more straightforward and don't require us to make a dramatic comeback.

    Jacksonville Jaguars

Boy, we needed that one. If we had given Detroit their first win of the season a week after we gave Cincinnati its first win of the season, our season would have been all but over. But a win over the Lions after a crazy week gives Jack Del Rio a better handle on the steering wheel now, at least for a week.

We cannot let our guys believe Sunday fixed anything. We ran well and we got sacks against a terrible team. Is that going to translate against the undefeated Titans? Perhaps the power point presentation at the first meeting Wednesday morning will include a mention about 1999 - when the only thing between us and a perfect regular season and a Super Bowl appearance was the Titans. Fred Taylor remembers, maybe he can help make it part of our motivation this week.

    Tennessee Titans

We like to believe the country is filled with doubters who don't believe we are legit, and that performance in Chicago should win some people over. When a running team gets only 20 ground yards and still handles a tough defensive team on the road in the cold, it says something. We feel like we're saying something, something good, every week.

Sure, the Jaguars have struggled since we saw them on opening day. But a division foe in a rematch on their turf is always tough. It would be great if Kyle Vanden Bosch could return from his groin injury, because forcing David Garrard into a couple mistakes will be a big key. We haven't let up all season, and we can't start now. Let's be careful to make sure we prepare and operate this week the same way as last week and the week before that.

This Jag game is pretty damn important. We have to lock these division games down. I'm not worried at all, but we have to get our run game back up to par, and tighten up on defense. Oh, and Ahmad Hall is banned from the game, who fumbles diving for a TD on 4th and goal?

This is a big game... even if the Jags are struggling. When we were 6-0 looking at the next 4 games of Colts, Packers, Bears and Jags the general feeling was that those games would pretty much determine what this team was made of and how far it could really go. We were hoping we could come out of it with a reasonable lock on the division. We lose KVB and Gage for much of those games. Lost KVBs backup for 1 of them, and have come through 3-0 so far with the division virtually locked and with a 3 game lead in the entire conference. Another win to knock out a division opponent and close out the toughest stretch of our season still undefeated would show the character this team has.

agreed. Knocking out Jacksonville is crucial to our sucess. Have we ever swept a division before?
