Locker CAN play, and be awesome. But he needs coaches that will communicate his faults, and enhance is god given talents. Thats what coaches do. Run a little pistol, get him out of the box. Run successful plays.

Just because he isn't winning games in his 1st year as a starter you think he is a scrub that will never get it done?

How many crappy years did Matt Schaub have in Houston before they actually started winning games? And schaub has had a very talented O the whole time he was there, but yet he choked (a lot worse than I have ever seen Locker choke) in several games at the end of the year almost every year until last. Flash to this year and he is leading his team to comebacks and they are 10-1 ... somehow he became 'clutch' when he wasn't before

How many games did PM win in his rookie year? (hint: the answer is 3). Would you consider him to be a 'clutch' QB?

Drew Brees started 10-18 in his 1st 3 years ... would you say that he isn't 'clutch' now?

And VY put up some crazy bad numbers that year too. But we had a good D that could kept us in every single game. Not that hard to win when you only need to score about 17 pts/ game.

I never said he was a scrub or is going to be one. What I am saying is if he is not able to get it done in crunch time then he will be a scrub.

You said that "you were either born with the clutch gene, or you were not and Locker was not", basically saying that Locker will never be able to get it done in the clutch. Then you say that anyone who can't get it done in the clutch is a scrub. So its not much of a jump for people to think you are saying Locker is a scrub.

I was simple pointing out that the 'clutch gene' isn't really a gene you are born with. It can be learned with experience (see PM, Brees, Schaub) ... guys like VY weren't born with the clutch gene either. THey had a good team around them and a little luck on thier side, but unfortunately that luck fades at some point and that is why VY is no longer in the NFL.

Considering the fact the VY had so many fourth quarter comebacks and game winning drives in his career it is more than luck!
