What do we do if Lewan goes down???

    Besides praying for Mariota's health, what do we do if Lewan goes down??? Is Meredith really suited to play LT??? Bell has more experience there, but has proven that he can't hold up on the blindside and if you move him then you have to fill the RG spot as well.

    Stingly was the surprise cut to me. I really had him penciled in as the swing OT.

    Maybe our plan is that if Lewan goes down we are going to just have one of our 5 TEs be a permanent fixture on the left side. Honestly probably the best option given what we have backing up Lewan.

    There aren't too many teams that have a top-notch backup LT. If Lewan goes down in Week 1, there will be some veterans available. Some guys get cut and then re-signed after Week 1, when salaries are no longer guaranteed.

    Not an ideal situation but hopefully not too bad.

    Meredith did ok with Levitre by his side last year, hes servicable, but if Lewan goes down were screwed. We're a left handed team, meaning were planning for that 700lb left side to pave the way for our run game... Warmack and Poutasi are pretty sloppy together, don't expect much from those guys, we absolutely need Lewan to stay healthy.

    If Lewan goes does, we pull MM and let cbj start until lewan is back. Then, resume season and try again next year.

    Edit: zero love for cbj. I just don't want Mett getting hurt either.
